MCHCE Membership
The Montana Council for History and Civics Education (MCHCE) is dedicated to the promotion of history and civics education in the state of Montana. This includes supporting history curriculum through evaluating state standards, curriculum and assessment; promoting quality pre-service preparation for history and civics teachers; and working to strengthen the content of K-12 history and civics education in Montana schools. MCHCE is committed to providing professional development for state history and civics teachers through annual MEA/MFT educators’ conferences and providing regional and local workshops.
The Montana Council for History and Civics Education depends on memberships in order to continue to carry on its mission. Your membership makes it possible for the MCHCE to provide professional development colloquia at the annual MEA conference, maintain and grow the website, organize and hold professional development programs for districts and schools for nominal fees, and provides members with a newsletter published each quarter that contains a plethora of materials for Montana educators. Each membership includes not only a MCHCE membership, but also a membership to the National Council for History Education (NCHE) through the dual-membership program!

To become a member, please fill out the membership form and mail it to MCHCE along with your membership dues. Please make your check payable to MCHCE.
