Norman Anderson, Great Falls Public Schools (Ret.)
Norman Anderson retired in 2013 after forty years in the classroom. In the course of his career, he taught nearly all the English and social studies classes from grades 7 through 12. Most recently, he taught AP American History, AP American Government, and AP European History. He was the Gilder Lehrman Montana History Teacher of the Year in 2004. Today, he is actively involved in the living history of Lewis and Clark and pursuing his passion for photography.
Linda Babcock, Longfellow Elementary School
Linda is very involved in the Montana and Bozeman community. She volunteers with Eaglemount, Beall Park Art Center, Special Olympics, and the Sweet Pea Festival of the Arts. She has received the Bozeman Historic Preservation Award for Excellence, the Gold Star Teacher’s Award, and was also awarded the 2003, 14th Annual Montana Statehood Centennial Bell History Teacher of the Year Award. She has just returned to the classroom after taking a one-year sabbatical from her 35 years of teaching 5th grade to write Yellowstone biographies using primary sources from the Yellowstone Heritage and Research Center.
Randy Carlson, Helena Public Schools (Ret.)
Randy received his bachelors degree and Masters degree from the University of Montana. He taught primarily World Cultures for twenty-four years, and then continued as an administrator for sixteen years at Capital High school. He has worked with the Helena Education Association, Montana Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development, taught classes for the Office of Public Instruction for inclusion of Special Education Students into regular classrooms, and worked on the Helena School District Negotiation Committee to develop a unique contract that provided a more professional and individualized teacher Professional Growth Program.

Derek Strahn teaches AP US History and AP American Studies at Bozeman High School. He was chosen as Montana's 2010 Preserve America History Teacher of the Year by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.
